A Royal Grafton china plate bearing a central portrait of Frank Woolley, encircled by bats and stumps, each containing details of one of his hundred first-class centuries. The design is completed by a border of balls and bails and edged in gold.
[Issued in 1994].
Diameter 23cms. Preserved in silk-lined presentation box. Good condition.
LIMITED EDITION of 500 plates. Produced to commemorate Woolley's 100th first-class century, scored in 1929. In his career Woolley made 145 first-class centuries. Woolley played for Kent between 1906 and 1938, and for England between 1909 and 1934.
