An account of the 1882 Australian tour of England, with individual illustrations of each member of the team, and full scores of all the matches. The team included W.L. Murdoch, G.J. Bonnor, G. Giffen, J. McC. Blackham, G.E. Palmer, H.F. Boyle and F.R. Spofforth. They were the first team to win a Test match in England when they won the only Test match played on the tour. The Sporting Times then published a mock obituary of English cricket which gave birth to the perennial legend of the Ashes. A reprint of the book first published in 1882, with a new frontispiece and introduction by John Arlott. See Padwick 4975.

A facsimile reprint of the only contemporary account of the 1902 Australian cricket tour of England, with a reprint of a pre-tour brochure, and a new foreword by Sir Donald Bradman, who played cricket with some members of this team. The 1902 Australian team was one the strongest to tour England, and won the very exciting series. The team included Warwick Armstrong, Hanson Carter, Joe Darling, Syd Gregory, Clem Hill, Ernest Jones, Monty Noble, J.V. Saunders, Hugh Trumble and Victor Trumper.
