SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the half-title. A biography of R.P. Keigwin, who played cricket for Cambridge University, Essex and Gloucestershire between 1903 and 1923, much during the Golden Age of cricket. With transcripts of his correspondence in the 1960s and early 1970s in which he recalls cricketers and events in his cricket career. Keigwin was a superb all-round sportsman and played for Cambridge University at cricket, hockey, football and rackets. He went on to represent England at hockey. His rackets partner was A.E.J. Collins, who famously scored 628 not out in a school match in 1899.
