An appreciation of the great Barbados and West Indies batsman Everton Weekes. Weekes played for West Indies between 1948 and 1958, scoring 4,455 runs at an average of 58.61. He is the only batsman in the history of Test cricket to score five centuries in consecutive innings, and was controversially run out for 90 in his next innings. Tony Cozier was a West Indian cricket journalist, author and broadcaster who became the voice of West Indies cricket and an unrivalled authority on cricket in the Caribbean. This is his last book and was published posthumously.
