(ALL PUBLISHED). PRESENTED BY CHARLES PRATT GREEN TO THOMAS PADWICK, SIGNED, INSCRIBED AND DATED 13th MARCH 1890 inside the front cover. Charles Pratt Green and Thomas Padwick were two of the earliest cricket book collectors. Pratt Green was also an avid collector of cricket bats. Published the same year that Wisden's Cricketers' Almanack first appeared. Bayly's Cricket Chronicle was unable to match this competition, and no further volume appeared. Bowen, Cricket Quarterly, Vol. 1, (1963): 'Far more comprehensive than any of the earlier Wisdens.' Allen, Early Books on Cricket, no. 87: 'Providing domestic coverage as well as matches in cricket's remoter climes...'
