An original coloured caricature of Hobbs by W.H. Issued as a supplement to Vanity Fair No. 2283 in Men of the Day series. Captioned 'A TESTED CENTURION'.

Preserved in cut mount. Good condition.
Hobbs played for Surrey between 1905 and 1934. He played 61 Test matches for England between 1908 and 1930. During his first-class career he scored more runs and more centuries than any other batsman, and is regarded by many as the greatest batsman in the history of cricket.
