Wister (1842-1911) founded the Philadelphia and Germantown cricket clubs. He was known by his contemporaries as The Father of American Cricket. First edition of the account of the 1884 Gentlemen of Philadelphia cricket tour of England, first published fifteen years after the tour took place.
