One of the classics of cricket literature. Pycroft, the pioneer of all cricket historians, was inspired to write this book by his friend Rev. John Mitford, who had written sketches of many of the old Hambledon players.
This is the last and best edition, and includes a bibliography of the various editions, together with a biography of Pycroft.
