A Coalport china plate bearing a central portrait of Walter Hammond, encircled by bats and stumps, each containing details of one of his hundred first-class centuries. The design is completed by a border of balls and bails and edged in gold.

Diameter 23cms. Preserved in silk-lined presentation box. Good condition.
LIMITED EDITION of 500 plates. Produced to commemorate Hammond's 100th first-class century, scored in 1935. Hammond made 167 first-class centuries in his career. He played for Gloucestershire between 1920 and 1951, and for England between 1927 and 1947.
