Twenty-seventh year of publication. The first periodical to deal exclusively with cricket. Founded in 1882 by C.W. Alcock, Cricket, A Weekly Record of the Game was published from 1882 until 1913. In 1914 a final volume was published, edited by A.C. MacLaren, renamed: The World of Cricket. Altham, History of Cricket, 1926, page 383: 'An almost inexhaustible mine of historical information, and a complete contemporary record.'
